About the Event

Welcome to the one-hour outdoor yoga class taught by Divayogi, Michelle Stafford at the beautiful Be More Green garden located at 2036 West North Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, 21217. This class is suitable for all fitness levels, ages, and body types.

Before we begin, let's take a moment to acknowledge the significance of Juneteenth, which is a holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce that the Civil War had ended and that all slaves were now free. This day marked a significant moment in history, and it is celebrated every year as Juneteenth.

Now, let's get started with our yoga class. Divayogi, Michelle Stafford, will lead us through a gentle and invigorating yoga sequence designed to bring balance and harmony to our bodies and minds. We will begin with some breathing exercises to calm our minds and focus our attention on the present moment.

As we move through the yoga poses, Divayogi will offer modifications and variations to accommodate all levels of fitness, ages, and body types. We will flow through a series of standing and seated poses, including warrior poses, forward folds, and twists, all while connecting our breath to our movements.

As we move deeper into the practice, we will focus on releasing tension and opening up our hearts to gratitude and love. We will close the class with a short meditation to help us feel grounded and connected to our inner selves.

Throughout the class, Divayogi will offer gentle reminders to honor our bodies and respect our limitations. She will encourage us to find joy and peace in the present moment, and to let go of any stress or tension we may be carrying.
